THE THIRD DAY
AS always we start with
All this occurs on ycylc

the third day
Hmm, could the third day be about seeds and planting and especially what kind of seed is coming to fruition on these third day experiences??
Remember that these scriptures about the third day are
written aforetime for our learning that through patience and comfort of the
scriptures we might have hope.
Remember who gets to experience the biggest and mostest of
all third day experiences?????
WE DO!!!!!!
Lets carefully check out Hosea ch. 6:2
Hos
6:2 After
two days will he revive us (hyj chayah):
in the third day he will raise us up and we shall live in
his sight. (wynp paneh)
BDB Definition: 1) to live, remain
alive, sustain life,
Exo 1:17
But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded
them, but saved
the men children alive.
Exo 1:22
And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye
shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.
BDB Definition:
face, presence, person
We shall be brought into his very presence, face to face,
even as Boaz’s objective was to bring Ruth into his very presence!!!
Is this possibly the redemption of the last generation???
Absolutely!
Remember that all the fathers of our faith had Third day
experiences!!
Remember the testimony given to us about Abraham.
Rom 4:20
He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief;
Remember, “What does unbelief lead to?”
Heb 3:12
Take heed, brethren, lest there be
in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing
from the living God.
It always leads to departing from YHWH God
Unbelief is the fruit of one of the Big
Three having been sown in our lives: lust
of the flesh, eyes, pride of life
Num
14:11 And
the LORD said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke ($an naw-ats') me? and how long
will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have showed among
them?
Num 14:12
I will smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make
of thee a greater nation and mightier than they. (KJV)
Num 14:11
The LORD said to Moses, "How long will these people despise
Me? How long will they not trust in Me despite all the signs I have performed
among them? (HCSB)
Despise is the better translation
In fact unbelief shows that we despise HIM!!!
Imagine that, despising our Redeemer,
Sustainer, King and God!!!!
When we fail to believe Him, (OBEY HIM) we are actually despising Him.
Now it’s not hard to see why unbelief causes us to depart
from the living God!!
Mat 23:23
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint
and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law,
judgment, mercy, and faith:
these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
So what is it exactly that we are to believe, Ha-Satan
believes that He exists, in fact he is fully convinced!!
Isa 43:10
Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have
chosen: that ye may know and believe
(@ma aw-man')
me, and understand that I am He: before me there was
no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
Isa 43:11
I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is
no savior.
Lets get a grip on our word @ma aw-man'
Gen 15:6
And he believed(@ma aw-man')
in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
Num 12:7
My servant Moses is not so, who is
faithful(@ma aw-man')
in all mine house.
Num 12:8
With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark
speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye
not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
Deu 9:23
Likewise when the LORD sent you from Kadesh-barnea, saying, Go up and
possess the land which I have given you; then ye rebelled against the
commandment of the LORD your God, and ye believed
(@ma aw-man')
him not, nor hearkened to his voice.
What did Abraham and Moses do that the children
of Israel could not get a grip on??
What is the opposite of Despise???
Cherish, nourish, support, foster, uphold, confirm, establish
These terms describe our word @ma aw-man' exactly!!!
Abraham and Moses cherished and fostered what
YHWH God had said, His word, they were careful to sow the precious seed!!
Luk 8:11
Now the parable is this: The
seed is the word of God.
Hmmm, who might the living Word be?
The children of Israel, mostly because of the pride of life, human reasoning, wound up in unbelief, heading away from, departing from the living God!!! Lets watch the pride of life, human reasoning, in action first hand!!
Num 13:26
And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the
congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh;
and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and showed them
the fruit of the land.
Num 13:27
And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest
us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of
it.
Num 13:28
(enter the pride of life) Nevertheless the people be strong that
dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and
moreover we saw the children of Anak there.
Num 13:29
The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the
Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by
the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.
This unbelief ,despising Gods promise,
cost them their entrance to the covenant land!!!
On some occasions it was the lust of the flesh that led the
children of Israel into unbelief and departing from, heading away from the
living God.
Num 11:4
And the mixed multitude that was among them fell a lusting: and
the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to
eat?
Num 11:5
We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers,
and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlic:
Num 11:6
But now our soul is dried away: there is nothing at
all, beside this manna, before our eyes.
Num 11:33
And while the flesh was yet between their teeth, ere it was
chewed, the wrath of the LORD was kindled against the people, and the LORD smote
the people with a very great plague.
Num 11:34
And he called the name of that place Kibroth-hattaavah: because there
they buried the people that lusted.
Remember this is the people of God, to say the
least they believed in God.
What’s
all this got to do with the THIRD DAY??
Lets look at another Patriarch, Jacobs’, Ya’akov, Third
Day experience!!!
Gen 31:22
And it was told Laban on the third day that Jacob was fled
(jrh baw-rakh).
A primitive root; to bolt
Why does Jacob bolt away???
Gen 31:13
I am the God of Bethel, where thou anointedst the pillar, and
where thou vowedst a vow unto me: now arise, get thee out from this land, and
return unto the land of thy kindred.
He is obeying God, not running scared as we by
our baggage have been led to believe!
Gen 31:20
And Jacob stole away unawares to Laban the Syrian, in that he told him
not that he fled. (KJV)
Gen 31:20
And Jacob deceived the heart of Laban the Syrian, for he did not tell him
that he was about to flee. (LITV)
Gen 31:20
And Jacob deceived Laban the Aramean, not telling him that he was
fleeing. (HCSB)
Our western translations give us the idea of running
scared!!! He has heard God’s directions, God’s voice, God’s instruction
down to the minute detail!!
Gen 31:13
I am the God of Bethel, where thou anointedst the pillar, and
where thou vowedst a vow unto me: now(ht[at-tah)
arise (!wq koom), get thee out from
this land, and return unto the land of thy kindred.
ht[ at-tah=
now
!wq koom = arise,
stand, rise up, to come on the scene, to be established, be confirmed
The OJB comes close:
Gen 31:20 Unawares to Lavan
HaArami, Ya'akov stole away, in that he told him not that he was fleeing.
(OJB)
Jacob’s explicit obedience is not exactly what we have been
taught!!
Lets look at a map and see how Jacob is doing at bolting
as YHWH God has commanded him.
In ten days time, seven days after the third day where does
Laban overtake Jacob,
how many miles has he come in ten days??
Whoa Nelly, this kind of obedience sounds a powerful lot like
grandfather Abraham’s obedience!!
Jacob must have really cherished
and fostered the word of God, just
as the example s of Abraham and Moses.
Look what a logistics challenge Jacob has to believe God for,
traveling hard with a great company
of persons, and with many, many animals through a not so friendly and not so
lush terrain.
What great faith is shown for our instruction that we through
patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope!!!
Remember that one day we too will be called upon to flee, let
us not forget the strength and resolve
of our father Ya’akov, Jacob!!
“Well Lord, You know its powerful dry down there crossing
over Syria and me and the young-uns wouldn’t have a snowballs chance of making
it down there, I’d havta leave half my sheep and all my goats here.”
How many of the menservants and maid servants with Ya’akov
knew it was dry down there, but because of the seeds Ya’akov has been sowing,
they have no trouble bolting away with him!!!
What if the pride of life, human reasoning, had been the seed
that was coming to fruition in Ya’akov, what might he have said??
“Well Lord don’t you think it sounds nonsensical
and really leary that I should ups and bolt away like some kind of jack rabbit,
what are all my men servants and maid servants going to say? Leah and Rachael
won’t hear of it, besides all that, I don’t think Leah can see good enough
to walk like that.”
Ya,akov knew whom he had believed, and was persuaded
that He, YHWH God , was able to keep that which he, Ya’akov,
had committed unto Him against that day.
Well why all of a sudden the change from using Jacob to using
Ya,akov???
Realizing
that with the name Jacob comes our western misconception that he was a trickster
and supplanter, lets pick up his real name, Ya,akov, along with the real
understanding not the unreal misunderstanding we have carried so long, and
realize what a Prophet, Warrior, and mighty example of faith he was!!
We could spend endless hours looking at the positive examples
of Ya’akov and the negative examples of Esau.
Lets close this session and make it our prayer and resolve to
be able to hear and understand the voice of YHWH God with the same detail that
Ya’akov could, and then to obey
with the same resolve he had.
Remember that in the commandments of God, we hear the voice
of God.
Next week… the THIRD DAY experience in Joseph’s life.
What were the things he cherished and fostered in his life??
More seed coming to fruition!!!!
