SHEMOT  (exodus) ch.10…

Exo 10:1  And the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might show these my signs before him:

Exo 10:2  And that thou mayest tell in the ears of thy son, and of thy son's son, what things I have wrought in Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that ye may know how that I am the LORD.

How many times has Pharaoh now been asked to let the people go?

Hail

Boils with blains

Deadly Pestilence of the Egyptians livestock

Swarms of Flies

Lice

Frogs

Nile turned to blood

Rod turned to a serpent

Is YHWH God indeed forcefully making Pharaoh to act insolently proud???

Absolutely not!!!!!!

What would you say Pharaoh’s problem was??

Behind door #1:  The lust of the flesh

Behind door #2:  The lust of the eyes

Behind door #3:  The pride of life   (human reasoning)

Pharaoh desired the product of the peoples labor.

(hmmmm, sound familiar)

Governments inevitably become more interested in collecting the product of labor rather than protecting the people.  Legalized Infant murder is a sure sign in any society that protecting people is far from the mind of the powers that be.  Collecting the product of labor is much more lucrative than protecting people, we don’t have to look very far to see Pharaoh’s modus operandi today…..Pharaoh thought he had it all figured out.  Human reasoning!!!!!!

What’s on YHWH Gods mind?????

Exo 10:2  And that thou mayest tell in the ears of thy son, and of thy son's son, what things I have wrought in Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that ye may know how that I am the LORD.

Why isnt acknowledging His Lordship good enough, whats all this about knowing HOW He is LORD?? (note at this time who it is that needs to understand HOW)

Exo 8:10  And he said, Tomorrow. And he said, Be it according to thy word: that thou mayest know that there is none like unto the LORD our God.

Exo 8:22  And I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to the end thou mayest know that I am the LORD in the midst of the earth.

Exo 9:14  For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth.

Exo 9:29  And Moses said unto him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto the LORD; and the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know how that the earth is the LORD's.

Exo 11:7  But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.

Exo 14:4  And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honored upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host; that the Egyptians may know that I am the LORD. And they did so.

How is it that YHWH God wanted the Egyptians to know that He is LORD, but the sons of Ya’akov needed to know HOW He is YHWH?

THE ANSWER…………………………..

Exo 29:46  And they shall know that I am the LORD their God, that brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, that I may dwell among them: I am the LORD their God.

How is it that knowing HOW He is the LORD or not knowing HOW He is the LORD affects His dwelling among us?????

Every the time that the Egyptians came under the weight of a different plague, whose instruction was it for????

The sons of Ya’akov, right?

It would not be but just a few short days until the children of Israel would be facing critical events in their own lives, will they fall to human reasoning, the pride of life, and wind up with evil hearts of unbelief, departing from the living God, and thereby making it impossible for Him to dwell among them???

Num 14:40  And they rose up early in the morning, and got them up into the top of the mountain, saying, Lo, we be here, and will go up unto the place which the LORD hath promised: for we have sinned.

Num 14:41  And Moses said, Wherefore now do ye transgress the commandment of the LORD? but it shall not prosper.

Num 14:42  Go not up, for the LORD is not among you; that ye be not smitten before your enemies.

Num 14:43  For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and ye shall fall by the sword: because ye are turned away from the LORD, therefore the LORD will not be with you.

Let us not forget that Pharaoh is one of the biggest examples in scripture how human reasoning can lead to the most heinous unbelief and hardness of heart….Human reasoning probably will be our biggest enemy in our wilderness experience.

Rev 7:16  They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.

Rev 7:17  For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

We will face thirst, will we believe Him???

We will face hunger, will we believe Him???

We will face extremes, will we believe Him???

The plague of Locusts and darkness only strengthen our observation of Pharoahs addiction to his reasoning…..

During this time of the plagues coming on Egypt, is YHWH God doing these things just to despite the Egyptians, or are the children of Israel so sinlessly perfect that God must intervene?????

Remember the prophecy given in the seven I WILL’s of YHWH GOD

From Exo.6: 6&7  Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD

I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians

I will rid you out of their bondage

I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:

I will take you to me for a people

I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God

I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob

I will give it you for a heritage: I am the LORD.

By the time we get through today’s Torah Portion, lets look and see how far along each I WILL has come

I WILL #1       Egypt destroyed

I WILL #2       Pharaoh and his human and his human scheme gone

I WILL #3       Passover is laid out to the sons of Ya’akov, foreshadowing Yeshua’s innocent and Sacrificial death

I WILL #4       YHWH God was unable to take this generation to Himself because of unbelief (will we believe Him)

I WILL #5       This generation failed in letting Him be their God (will we at last in the wilderness understand HOW He is Lord)
