WHY would YHWH God show to all mankind things in the form of a mystery????

Psa 78:2  I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old: (KJV)

Psa 78:2  I open my mouth in a parable; I utter riddles of old, (TS-98)

1Co 2:7  But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

1Co 4:1  Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.

1Co 15:51  Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

Eph 1:9  Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

Eph 5:32  This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

Your first response might be “Well that’s not fair”!!!!!!

Looking at more scripture for the answer…

Mat 13:11  He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries (μυστήριον moos-tay'-ree-on) of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

By today’s standards this sounds really unfair!

Mar 4:11  And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery(μυστήριον moos-tay'-ree-on) of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:

Reiterating the first question, why would YHWH God spend 2 complete chapters in the book of Revelation giving us cryptic descriptions of this Babylon???

(in fact 2 chapters in Jeremiah, ch. 50&51 and 1 chapter in Isaiah, ch.13, for a total of 5 chapters of cryptic, parable type description of Babylon).  It must be really important for YHVH God to spend 5 complete chapters on!!!

He wants us to dedicate ourselves to His word and look for answers there first, rather than looking first to commentary or popular opinion. Those who are on the inside are simply those who knock (in His word) for it to be opened to them or those who seek (in His word) for it to be revealed to them.
